Today as I shared my writing piece with my writing group...I felt so exposed. It's funny how sharing this with my students didn't make me feel this way. I was shocked that I could feel the heat racing through my body and settling in my cheeks. I didn't know what to think or feel. I felt so raw. Reading the words of Emma's first few days in the hospital when we waited for her test results were so agonizing. I know that my heart was written across those pages. I felt so exposed. I don't know why...these were collegues....friends...yet I didn't like it. I don't have a copy of the piece at home..it's on my school computer. But, I must admit...I captured what I was thinking at the time.

I am thankful for so many things...that is why I created the scrapbook above. What are you thankful for?
